City of Brass out now on Nintendo Switch

February 9, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Arabian Nights inspired first person adventure City of Brass is now available on the Nintendo Switch.  Developed by BioShock veterans at Uppercut Games, City of Brass will take players to a mythological metropolis filled with an army of the undead, genies and other horrors.

In City of Brass a busy Arabian city has been corrupted by the love of money and riches and now all that is left of the population is an army of the undead, evil sorcerers, genies and other terrible dangers.  As a fortune seeking adventurer, players will make their way into the labyrinthine network and seek their fortune while avoiding the walking evil and deadly booby traps.

Equipped with a trusty bullwhip, which can be used to set off traps, swing to safety and stun opponents, players will need to fill their pockets with countless collectibles such as relics, gold and treasure chests (which can contain loot and power-ups) and use these to purchase upgrades from helpful genie shopkeepers and buy wishes to gamble for better gear.

The Nintendo switch edition of the game launches with three unlockable characters, the quick but weak Brigand armed with a knife, a spear-toting soldier and a strong Hellion.  Also, unlike other formats, City of Brass will include new relics, weapons, enemy types and other enhancements.

“After years working on the BioShock series, we’ve brought that knowledge to bear in City of Brass, which incorporates our love of hack-and-slash gameplay and mythological folklore,” said Ed Orman, co-founder and designer, Uppercut Games. “Now we’re happy to bring City of Brass to the Switch and introduce the Nintendo community to our world while providing existing fans a new way to play and take the experience on the go.”
