Action platformer Killer Queen Black coming to Xbox One later this year

March 7, 2019 by Andrew Newton

BumbleBear Games and Liquid Bit have announced that their strategic eight-player arcade action platformer Killer Queen Black will be coming to Xbox One towards the end of the year.  Players will be able to join in with friends and others on Xbox Live and use communication and cooperation to gain victory.  See more in the new trailer below….

In Killer Queen Black, up to 8 players form two teams and battle it out to see who becomes queen of the hive.  One player on each side will take the role of the queen while others become the workers, while in this stage the workers are defenceless but by entering gateways can power up to become soldiers armed with Swords, shields, Laser Rifles and more.  Gateways can also provide powerful upgrades such as speed boosts

All the action takes place on one screen so all enemy action is visible and with good communication teams can gain one of three different victories, these are: Economic Victories which rely on drones collecting berries first, Snail Victories involve riding a snail between the goal posts and Military Victories require the enemy queen to be killed three times.

There’s also one Black Team in the world and should a team beat them they can take their status as the new Black team and proudly boast they are the best.

“Killer Queen Black’s arcade roots give it a pick-up-and-play nature,” said Matt Tesch, co-founder of Liquid Bit. “Bringing the game to the Xbox One is another way for us to extend that accessibility so more people can join the ongoing battle.”

Look out for more news on Killer Queen Black in the future.
