Major update coming to Niffelheim on PC, console release announced

March 6, 2019 by Andrew Newton

A major update is coming to 2D action RPG Niffelheim on 11th March and will include the addition of hours of new adventuring, revamped animations, rebalances and more.  Developer Ellada Games has also announced that they will be releasing Niffelheim on consoles.  Check out the new trailer below showing the improvements coming with the update…

The new content heading to brave warriors next week will include:

  • Balance updates to all enemies and bosses.  Plus loot has also been rebalanced with the addition of a new loot spawning system.
  • On screen action hints and tips provide a more comfortable and welcoming experience for new and returning players.  These can be disabled in the settings menu.
  • Satiety has been rebalanced to ensure that players’ tums stay fuller for longer and keep starvation at bay.
  • All character animations have been revamped so each character gains a bit of individuality.
  • To ensure that exploration of dungeons is unpredictable and thrilling, enemy mobs and bosses have been randomly dispersed.

In Niffelheim players take the role of a brave viking warrior who has been mortally wounded in battle, however, instead of quaffing ale in the afterlife his soul has been imprisoned in the unforgiving world of Niffelheim.  Players must lead this warrior through hostile surroundings and to the tranquil halls of Valhalla.

The Niffelheim update will be available on March 11th.
