Nicole Kidman (Before I Go To Sleep) has been announced as part of the cast for the second season for acclaimed television drama Top of the Lake, according to The Daily Mail.
Critically acclaimed on its debut in 2012, Top of the Lake is a crime-mystery show co-created by Oscar winning writer/director Jane Champion (The Piano). Elisabeth Moss (Mad Men), Peter Mullan (War Horse) and David Wenham (300) starred in the first season, though so far only Moss has been confirmed as returning for the second run, with her character Detective Robin Griffin set to investigate a new case in Sydney and Hong Kong.
No news has been unveiled on Kidman’s character in the show, but filming is set to start in December before a possible debut in 2016.
