Liam Neeson to star in new thriller The Commuter

September 22, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Deadline is reporting that Liam Neeson is set to star in The Commuter, a new thriller from StudioCanal.

Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman, who worked with Neeson on both Unknown and Non-Stop, are again set to produce the film, which will see Neeson play “a businessman on his daily commute home, who unwittingly gets caught up in a criminal conspiracy. It threatens not only his life but the lives of those around him.”

Shooting on the film is set to begin next Spring, but no release date has been set.

Amongst Neeson’s newest projects is his latest collaboration with director Martin Scorsese (Gangs of New York) on Silence, the Seventeenth century-set drama which co-stars Andrew Garfield (99 Homes) and Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and is set for release in 2016.
