Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap now available on Android, iOS and Nvidia Shield

May 31, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Dotemu and Playdigious have announced the release of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap on Android, iOS devices as well as the Nvidia Shield.  The mobile version of the game features the same beautiful hand-drawn animation and gorgeous environments as the PC and console counterparts.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap takes place straight after the events of Wonder Boy II and finds our hero looking like a Lizard Man thanks to a villainous curse.  As a Lizard Man, Wonder boy can spit fire but as players progress through the game they can gain new animal forms with new abilities, including Mouse Man, who can climb on marked blocks, Pirahna Man, who has the ability to swim, Lion Man, who can strike overhead and below with their sword and Hawk Man, who can fly.  Players will need to explore the land killing enemies and spending their hard earned coin on new weapons and armour.

The mobile version of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap has been adjusted for use with touchscreens so that players can enjoy the platforming action on the go.  Also, as with the PC and console versions, players can enter passwords discovered from the original 1989 release, switch between the remastered and classic graphics and play as Wonder Girl.

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap is available for mobile devices now.
