Details on aliens for tactical adventure Spaceland revealed

July 15, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Tortuga Team has released an overview of some of the alien invaders coming to their tactical adventure Spaceland. Inspired by the classics of the genre such as X-COM and Laser Squad, Spaceland will offer PC gamers an exciting, yet familiar challenge.

Four alien species have been revealed and each has their own distinct combat tactics and abilities and will challenge player’s tactical skills.  These aliens are:

  • Roaches – Feature a durable chitinous shell that takes a lot of damage.  Possessing a powerful push ability, these aliens are best to be avoided where possible.
  • Creeper – This species comes in different sizes with smaller ones being nimble and wielding sharp bladed limbs, Medium Creepers having the ability to tunnel under the surface, and the Red Creeper which is incredibly tough.

  • Redback Shooter – These are permanently aggressive and intelligent creatures with the ability to use weaponry as skillfully as a trained soldier.

  • Bronton – This large alien creature has very heavy armour everywhere, although it’s rear armour is much thinner.  This powerful hulking alien will test players skills in combat.

Spaceland is set for release on PC later this year and will see players gather a team of skilled soldiers and investigate the secrets of a mystical planet. Watch the trailer here…
