First look images from true-life crime drama Just Mercy starring Michael B. Jordan and Jamie Foxx

August 19, 2019 by Amie Cranswick

Ahead of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month, two first look images have been released for director Destin Daniel Cretton’s upcoming true-life crime drama Just Mercy featuring Jamie Foxx and Michael B. Jordan; take a look here courtesy of People and Empire…

Based upon Bryan Stevenson’s bestselling memoir Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption., the film sees Jordan playing Stevenson, a gifted young lawyer fighting for equal justice in a flawed legal system, who takes on the case of a death row inmate (Foxx) who insists he is innocent of his crimes.

Just Mercy features a cast that also includes Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), O’Shea Jackson Jr. (Godzilla: King of the Monsters), Rafe Spall (Men in Black: International), and Tim Blake Nelson (The Ballad of Buster Scruggs).
