7 Days to Die developer video introduces the Wasteland Treasures book series

August 28, 2019 by Andrew Newton

More book series treats today for 7 Days to Die Alpha 18 as Joel Huenink of The Fun Pimps continues showcasing the new book series that players will be able to collect for additional perks and skills.  This latest developer video looks at the Wasteland Treasures book series which provides bonuses on gathering items from the different environments in the map.

Surviving the zombie apocalypse has always involved gathering items from the environment, but with this new series of books players will be able to gain even more goodies such as honey, acid and the all important brass.

  • Vol. 1 – Increases the chance of finding honey when chopping down trees.
  • Vol. 2 – Coffins are normally not worth bothering about, but with this volume they can be harvested for bones, Jewelry and gems.
  • Vol. 3 – This volume gives players a chance of getting Acid when harvesting cars and medical equipment.
  • Vol. 4 – Provides the ability to create pure mineral water (a mix of chrysanthemums, golden rod and coal).
  • Vol. 5 – At last a good reason to break down ALL doors, this volume teaches players how to gain brass from those nice shiny door knobs.
  • Vol. 6 – Ability to create cloth from plant fibres.
  • Vol. 7 – Harvesting sinks is another way to get more of that valuable brass and lead.  Ideal for fulfilling those bullet requirements.

As with the other series, the Wasteland Treasures’ Collector’s Perk is the ability to gain that all important military fibre from chairs in barracks and military trucks.  These sources may increase if it proves popular.

Brace yourself for a whole new experience in Alpha 18.
