Rumour: Marvel’s WandaVision to introduce Wiccan and Speed to the MCU

October 16, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Marvel Studios has put out a casting call for babies for the upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision, prompting speculation that the characters of Wiccan and Speed are set to be introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Given the title, scenario, and the fact that Paul Bettany’s Vision didn’t make it out of Avengers: Infinity War, it’s pretty much assumed at this point that WandaVision is going to put a twist on Tom King’s run on the Vision comic book, with Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff using her powers to conjure a reality where she and Vision live a perfect suburban family life.

Well, according to MCU Cosmic, this is indeed the case, with the babies in question said to wanted for the roles of Wanda and Vision’s children in this fabricated reality, where they’ll age rapidly into Wiccan and Speed, before somehow becoming real by the series’ end.

Apparently this is part of Marvel Studios’ plan to build towards a Young Avengers team alongside Kate Bishop and Kamala Khan (who are set to be introduced in the Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel shows) and Scott Lang’s daughter Cassie, who is now a teenager following the events of Endgame.
