X-Men actor Daniel Cudmore joins Marvel’s Helstrom

November 8, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Although Marvel Television’s current output appears to be winding down as the division comes under the control of Marvel Studios chief and MCU overlord Kevin Feige, one new project that is moving forward is Helstrom, and now we have some casting news for the Hulu series courtesy of Deadline.

According to the site, actor Daniel Cudmore – who played the role of Piotr Rasputin / Colossus in X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Days of Future Past – has signed on to the series, joining the previously announced leads Tom Austen (The Royals) as Daimon Helstrom and Sydney Lemmon (Fear The Walking Dead) as Ana Helstrom.

Helstrom revolves around the two siblings, the son and daughter of a mysterious and powerful serial killer, who track down the worst of humanity. Cudmore is set to portray Keith Spivey, a nurse at the institution where Daimon and Ana’s mother has spent the past 20 years.

Helstrom, which was originally announced by Marvel and Hulu alongside the now-abandoned Ghost Rider, has a ten-episode series order from the Disney-controlled subscription service. It is expected to premiere at some point in 2020.
