Jessica Chastain set for Losing Clementine

November 28, 2019 by Gary Collinson

In news coming out of the American Film Market, Jessica Chastain has signed on to star in Losing Clementine, an adaptation of Ashley Ream’s debut novel of the same name, which is to be directed by Argentinian filmmaker Lucia Puenzo (The German Doctor, The Unseen).

As revealed by Deadline, the film will see Chastain playing Clementine Pritchard, a “world-renowned and sharp-tongued artist who has decided she’s done. After flushing away her meds, she gives herself 31 days to tie up loose ends. While checking off her bucket list she uncovers secrets about her family and the tragedy that befell her mother and sister.”

Chastain was last seen as the adult Beverly Marsh in the blockbuster Stephen King adaptation It Chapter Two, while her upcoming slate includes the female-led spy thriller 355 featuring Penélope Cruz, Fan Bingbing, Lupita Nyong’o, Diane Kruger, Sebastian Stan and Édgar Ramírez, as well as the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye with Andrew Garfield.
