VR action adventure game Golem available digitally in North America and coming to Europe next week

November 16, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Perp Games and developer Highwire Games has announced the digital release of their PSVR exclusive action adventure Golem in North America with a physical release reaching US retailers on 22nd November.  This long awaited action adventure will take players through a unique open world filled with intrigue, challenging combats and fascinating locations to explore.

Golem follows the story of Twine, an adventurous child who becomes bedridden after a terrible accident.  Despite Twine’s confinement to the bed they come into possession of a mystical Dream Stone which takes players to a mysterious storybook world where they can control massive stone golems.  As Twine, players will be able to explore a huge, dangerous city that has been cut off from the world by a magical barrier.  This once great city hides treasure and ancient relics but is also the domain of various enemies.

Twine will need to explore this deadly labyrinthian city, facing ancient enemies and otherworldly foes if they are to discover the mystery that connects it to Twine’s family.

Golem features:

  • Use either the PS Move controllers to experience the game’s unique movement system or use the controller.
  • Explore the game’s sprawling ancient city, discover its nooks and crannies and journey along the many shortcuts.
  • Take part in challenging melee combat using your mighty golems.  Master blocking and parrying and the enemies own attack patterns to win.
  • Make use of a variety of primary and special purpose weapons and equipment to upgrade your Golem’s abilities.
  • Good golems never die, they’re just returned to the main city gates but all the resources and enemies will reset.
  • As well as huge golems, utilise small dolls to navigate areas that require a new perspective.

“So excited to be finally releasing our game Golem and I really hope you enjoy it.  We have developed a very exciting Incline Control System designed for maximum immersion, using the Move Controllers and physical movement by the player” said Jaime Griesemer, Creative Director at Highwire games.

Golem is available now via the Playstation Store in North America and will release physically in US retailers on 22nd November.
