Miracle Workers season 2 heads to the Dark Ages in teaser trailer

November 21, 2019 by Ricky Church

TBS’ comedy anthology Miracle Workers will return in January 2020 and is heading to the medieval period for its second season. Titled Miracle Workers: Dark Ages, the new season sees Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) in “a story about friendship, family and trying not to be murdered”. Watch the teaser trailer below…

Set in the medieval era, the new season will follow “a group of villagers as they try to stay positive in an age of extreme economic inequality, poor healthcare and widespread ignorance. Worse yet, their king is a bumbling ruler who treats his fowl and ducks better than his own subjects.”

Dark Ages will also feature season one regulars Geraldine Viswanathan (Blockers), Karan Soni (Deadpool 2), Jon Bass (Big Time in Hollywood, FL) and Lolly Adefope (Shrill) in new roles.

The first season was based on Simon Rich’s novel What in God’s Name and featured Buscemi as God and Radcliffe as an angel. The series comes from Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels’ Broadway Video with Andrew Singer, Katy Jenson, Rich, Radcliffe and Buscemi executive producing.

Miracle Workers: Dark Ages will premiere on January 28th, 2020.
