Jessica Chastain joins John Michael McDonagh’s The Forgiven

December 6, 2019 by Gary Collinson

It Chapter Two star Jessica Chastain has signed on to appear alongside Ralph Fiennes (The White Crow) and Caleb Landry Jones (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) in The Forgiven, the next film from director John Michael McDonagh (The Guard, War on Everyone).

Based on the novel by Lawrence Osborne, The Foriven will “deal with the impact of a tragic accident on the lives of an English couple attending a lavish weekend party at a luxurious desert villa in Morocco.”

Fiennes and Chastain – who previously worked together on Coriolanus – are set to play the husband and wife, while the cast also includes Mark Strong (Shazam!), Rebecca Hall (Holmes & Watson) and Said Taghmaoui (Wonder Woman).
