Train to Busan sequel Peninsula gets two posters

March 1, 2020 by Gary Collinson

It’s been a while since we heard anything about Peninsula, South Korean filmmaker Yeon Sang-ho’s sequel to his highly acclaimed 2016 zombie thriller Train to Busan, but it seems the film is now in the can and gearing up for a release in its home country this summer. Check out the first two posters here…

While specific plot details for Peninsula are being kept under wraps, Yeon Sang-ho has previously stated that the film “is an extension of Train to Busan, after the virus has spread throughout Korea, but the characters are not the same. It shares the same world view and is a zombie action film that deals with the aftermath on the peninsula of what happened in Train to Busan.”

Featuring in the cast of Peninsula are Kang Dong Won, Lee Jung Hyun, Kwon Hae Hyo, Kim Min Jae, Go Kyo Hwan, Kim Do Yoon, Lee Re, and Lee Ye Won. The film has already secured international distribution, but as yet there’s no word on when we might expect a UK or US release.
