Better Call Saul creators don’t tell cast any spoilers according to star

April 8, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Tony Dalton, one of the stars of Better Call Saul, says that the show’s creators don’t tell the cast anything about what will happen with their characters.

Better Call Saul season five is hurtling towards its conclusion with just a couple more episodes to go and then one final season to air in the future.

Tony Dalton’s Lalo has quickly become a fan favourite since the comical villain appeared on the scene in season four. But does he know what will happen to his character from one episode to the next? Well, apparently not, as Dalton explains to Screen Rant:

“Oh, they don’t tell us anything. I mean, they don’t tell us what’s going to happen on the next episode. So, I don’t even know. You kind of wing it, as far as an actor, with the arc. You get an idea that you can’t show all your cards until you need to, as far as acting is concerned. As far as when does he get angry and when he doesn’t, when something really affects him or something doesn’t – you kind of get a feel of it. But no, they don’t tell us that.”

In the joint world of Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, anything can happen so it’s probably a good idea for the actors to stay on their toes just in case.

Better Call Saul airs each Tuesday in the UK on Netflix.
