The Devil is coming to FX Networks, and he’ll come in the form of Danny DeVito.
Deadline is reporting that the Rick and Morty co-creator Dan Harmon will serve as executive producer on Little Demon, an animated horror-comedy series coming to FX.
Starring in the series will star Danny DeVito, his daughter Lucy DeVito and Aubrey Plaza. DeVito voices the Devil himself, Aubrey Plaza will play the mother who is impregnated by him, and Lucy DeVito will play their offspring.
“In Little Demon, 13 years after being impregnated by the Devil (Danny DeVito), a reluctant mother (AubreyPlaza) and her Antichrist daughter (Lucy DeVito) attempt to live an ordinary life in Delaware, but are constantly thwarted by monstrous forces, including Satan, who yearns for custody of his daughter’s soul.”
Darcy Fowler, Seth Kirschner, and Kieran Valla created the half-hour comedy. The series will come from Danny DeVito’s Jersey Films 2nd Avenue, ShadowMachine, and FX Productions.
Deadline reports that production could start as soon as next week.
