Katherine Langford wields Excalibur in first images from Netflix’s Cursed

May 7, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Netflix has released images from the upcoming adaptation of Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler’s graphic novel Cursed. The fantasy drama series is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend and stars 13 Reasons Why’s Katherine Langford in the lead role as Nimue, the Lady of the Lake; take a look here…

Based on the upcoming book of the same name, Cursed is a re-imagining of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake. After her mother’s death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a young mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword. Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.

Cursed features a cast that also includes Devon Terrell (Barry), Gustaf Skarsgard (Westworld), Peter Mullan (Ozark), Lily Newmark (Sex Education), Shalom Brune-Franklin (The State), Daniel Sharman (Fear the Walking Dead), Sebastian Armesto (Broadchurch), Emily Coates (Flack), Catherine Walker (Versailles) and Billy Jenkins (The Crown).
