Junkie XL reuniting with Zack Snyder on Army of the Dead

May 16, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Dutch composer Tom Holkenborg (a.k.a. Junkie XL) has announced on Reddit that he is set to reunite with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder on the filmmaker’s next feature, the zombie action thriller Army of the Dead.

In addition to Batman v Superman, Holkenborg’s other credits include the likes of 300: Rise of an Empire, Deadpool, Alita: Battle Angel, Terminator: Dark Fate, Sonic the Hedgehog and Scoob!.

Produced for Netflix, Army of the Dead marks Snyder’s first feature since 2017’s Justice League, and sees him returning to the zombie genre following his 2004 debut Dawn of the Dead. The film revolves around a team of mercenaries who venture into a zombie-infected Las Vegas as they attempt to pull off the greatest heist ever attempted.

Army of the Dead features a cast that includes Dave Bautista (Stuber), Ella Purnell (Sweetbitter), Omari Hardwick (Power), Chris D’Elia (You), Hiroyuki Sanada (Westworld), Raul Castillo (Vida), Nora Arnezeder (Origin), Matthias Schweighöfer (The Manny), Samantha Win (Wonder Woman), Rich Cetrone (Thor) and Garrett Dillahunt (Fear The Walking Dead).
