No Time To Die and Bill & Ted Face the Music release dates move up a week

June 14, 2020 by Gary Collinson

Following Friday’s news that Warner Bros. has pushed back a number of its big 2020 and 2021 blockbusters amid the ongoing public health crisis, we’ve now got more release date movement – although this time its somewhat positive if you’re a fan of James Bond or Bill & Ted.

As revealed by the official Twitter account, Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as 007, No Time To Die,  is now set to open a week earlier in the U.S., while it remains set for November 12th in the UK. The announcement is certainly a welcome one, given that rumours had been circulating about a possible further delay into 2021.

Meanwhile, coming hot on the heels of its first teaser trailer this week [watch it here], Orion Pictures has decided to move Bill & Ted Face the Music up a week, the sci-fi comedy threequel shifting from its August 21st date to the August 14th slot vacated by Wonder Woman 1984. It remains scheduled for August 21st in the UK.

Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

No Time To Die stars Daniel Craig (James Bond), Ralph Fiennes (M), Naomie Harris (Moneypenny), Rory Kinnear (Tanner), Léa Seydoux (Madeleine Swann), Ben Whishaw (Q), Jeffrey Wright (Felix Leiter) and Christoph Waltz (Blofeld), while new additions include Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody), Ana de Armas (Blade Runner 2049), Lashana Lynch (Captain Marvel), Billy Magnussen (Velvet Buzzsaw), Dali Benssalah (A Faithful Man) and David Dencik (Top of the Lake).
