The Mandalorian: Katee Sackhoff wants to explore more of Bo-Katan’s history and wouldn’t say no to a spin-off

November 20, 2020 by Samuel Brace

Katee Sackhoff, who plays Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian, says she would like to explore more of the character’s history and would love to have her own spin-off.

The Mandalorian has certainly delivered the goods over its first three episodes of season two. The latest treat for fans was Bo-Katan making her live-action debut, with Katee Sackhoff playing the role she had voiced in Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

As Star Wars fans know, Bo-Katan has a fascinating history, including with Rebels Mandalorian Sabine, her sister Satine, Darth Maul, and much more. Sackhoff would love to explore even more of the character’s history in future episodes of The Mandalorian and she spoke to ET about it:

“I do love the character Sabine. I would also love to see what Bo-Katan’s life was like with Satine, her sister, and lose her sister like she did. Her life with Obi-Wan and things like that, I would love to know what happened with that and how it affected Bo-Katan as a leader.”

Would Sackhoff be interested in her own show to explore Bo-Katan fully? You can guess the answer: “I mean, who wouldn’t? That’s what’s so great about the Star Wars universe. There’s so many different places to go and so many stories and so many interesting characters to go after. I have no idea but I would love to play this character as long as she has a story.”

Sackhoff has also said how getting to play the part in person was a “dream come true” and the “biggest moment” of her career. It’s clear she cares deeply about the character and is excited to be a part of this world. Hopefully, we get to see plenty more of her and Bo-Katan soon.

The Mandalorian season two sees Pedro Pascal (Din Djarin), Gina Carano (Cara Dune), Carl Weathers (Greef Karga), Giancarlo Esposito (Moff Gideon) and Bill Burr (Mayfield) joined by new cast additions Temuera Morrison (Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones), Katee Sackhoff (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Timothy Olyphant (Justified), Michael Biehn (The Terminator) and WWE Superstar Sasha Banks.

The Mandalorian season two airs on Fridays on Disney+.
