Vintage & World’s Fair Bundle DLC brings flair and charm to Planet Coaster: Console Edition

February 26, 2021 by Andrew Newton

Frontier Developments has announced the release of the new DLC pack, Vintage & World’s Fair Bundle, for their brilliant theme park construction game Planet Coaster: Console Edition.  This latest DLC bundle will bring classical charm to player’s parks with a total of ten new rides (4 coasters and 6 others) and an absolute wealth of new blueprints.  A new trailer can be seen below showcasing some of the wonderful items now available.

The Vintage & World’s Fair Bundle takes players back in time with a selection of rides and content themed around turn-of-the-century amusement parks.  There are 10 new rides available with six flat rides and four new coasters.

Within the Vintage Pack players will be able to enjoy the the high-speed, wooden coaster Zephyrus, and the Aces Sky coaster, which puts guests in a retro biplane to let gravity speed them down a wooden pipe.  It also includes 5 new flat rides include the likes of the marvelous Round The World which combines the spinning motions of a Ferris wheel, the twin cabin swinger Loop Da Loop from the 1930s, the inverted plane ride Test Flight, the Hurricane and finally the classic Centrum that will spin guests around at high speeds at 50 degree angles.  As well as these new exhilarating rides there is a whole new range of Victorian inspired scenery, decorative trimmings and architecture, including art deco stages for those swinging Barbershop Quartet singers to perform on.

In the World’s Fair Pack park managers can bring the sights and sounds from around the world to guests with a wealth of shops, restaurants and scenery options. Use cultural props and giant food signs as well as themed shop panels, doors and roof sections to make guests think they are in England, France or even Japan.

For rides, there is the Jixxer and Interceptor duelling duo of launched coasters.  Guests will speed down a track on a motorbike that twists and whips round to give the impression of a high-speed bike chase.  The Polarity ride provides guests with a new way to travel around the park using magnetic forces to propel the coaster train.

The Vintage & World’s Fair Bundle is available now for Planet Coaster: Console Edition on the Xbox Marketplace and Playstation Store now, priced £11.99/$14.99/€12.99. Each pack is also available individually at £7.99/$9.99/€9.99.
