Stranger Things heads to the Soviet Union with new series Kamchatka

December 27, 2021 by Gary Collinson

Ahead of the season four premiere on Netflix in mid-2022, Dark Horse Comics is set to unleash a new Soviet-set Stranger Things tale with the four issue limited comic book series Stranger Things: Kamchatka.

Stranger Things: Kamchatka is written by Michael Moreci (Wasted Space), who teams with artist Todor Hristov (Stranger Things: Halloween Special One Shot), colorist Dan Jackson (Stranger Things: Erica the Great), and letterer Nate Piekos (The Umbrella Academy). The official solicitation for the series reads:

A Russian scientist is kidnapped by Soviet troops, leaving nothing for his two teenage children but a mysterious case and a whole lot of questions. While their father is dragooned into weaponizing a monster brought back from the US, the two teenagers embark on a harrowing and perilous journey to find him, with help from an unlikely ally: an old but extremely deadly former KGB spy.

Stranger Things: Kamchatka #1 will go on sale on March 23rd 2022.
