Henry Cavill doesn’t think Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will address “any issues that people had with Man Of Steel”

January 5, 2016 by Luke Owen

Now that we’re in 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just around the corner. But one of the things that has always overshaddowed the movie is the mixed reviews of Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, which is very polarising in the Geek Community. And according to its star Henry Cavill, not much of that will change.

“The reception of my first Superman movie, from what I’ve read, was fairly mixed”, he told Cineplex. “Everyone I’ve spoken to enjoyed the movie. [But] if you’re going to meet a stranger in the street, they’re not going to badmouth you to your face.

“There’s no intentional move, I don’t think, in Batman v Superman to address any issues that people had with Man Of Steel,” he adds. “It’s just a continuation of that storyline and they continue to develop that world and introduce new characters”.

So, are the issues he mentions plot issues (destruction of Metropolis, etc), or actual issues audiences had with its tone and character? Only time will tell.
