The Next Generation returns in Star Trek: Picard final season teaser and posters

July 23, 2022 by Ricky Church

The cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation reunited at the San Diego Comic-Con to unveil the teaser trailer for Star Trek: Picard‘s third and final season. Watch the trailer and check out the character posters below…

Star Trek: Picard follows former Enterprise captain and Starfleet admiral Jean-Luc Picard decades after the conclusion of TNG and their final feature film adventure Star Trek: Nemesis. The previous two seasons saw Picard boldly going with a new crew to save the galaxy, but with the third season it is all hands on deck as Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden, Michael Dorn and LeVar Burton will star alongside Patrick Stewart, Jeri Ryan and Michelle Hurd for the final episodes.

Star Trek: Picard has made little mention of what Picard’s Enterprise crew have been up to. The first season featured Frakes and Sirtis in guest roles for one episode as Picard sought them out for quick help, revealing both had retired from Starfleet and were raising their daughter, while it was implied Dorn’s Worf was working within the Klingon Empire and Burton’s Geordi La Forge may still be in Starfleet.

Brent Spiner has also been featured in Picard, though as other members of the Soong family, the creators of his android Data. Spiner will also return for the third season, making it a full reunion of the TNG cast.
