M. Night Shyamalan is back once again with another film from Universal in 2024

October 10, 2022 by EJ Moreno

Find someone who loves you as much as Universal Pictures loves making M. Night Shyamalan movies. The filmmaker is yet again returning with another feature film for the studio, and his latest isn’t even out yet.

As fans eagerly await the debut of Knock at the Cabin this February [watch the trailer here], Shyamalan is already busy with another new movie.

This new project will release in 2024 and marks the sixth movie between Universal and Shyamalan. They’ve released four already – The Visit, Split, Glass, and Old, and are awaiting the premiere of the aforementioned Knock at the Cabin. Altogether, the four released projects grossed $713M worldwide.

Since his significant return with The Visit, Shyamalan has found his groove by making these films and mostly self-funding. He’s also fresh off the cult favorite series Servant for Apple TV.

Shyamalan tweeted about the announcement, celebrating what will be his sixteenth film…

Had an idea.
Pitched it to ⁦@UniversalPics⁩

Inspired by all I work with.
Honored to tell you guys another story in 2024.

While vacationing at a remote cabin, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand that the family make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse. With limited access to the outside world, the family must decide what they believe before all is lost.

The cast of Knock at the Cabin includes Dave Bautista, Jonathan Groff, Ben Aldridge, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Kristen Cui, Abby Quinn, and Rupert Grint.

Knock at the Cabin arrives in cinemas on February 3rd.
