Meet the residents of Element City in Disney-Pixar’s Elemental trailer

March 28, 2023 by Matt Rodgers

Disney and Pixar have dropped the official trailer for their latest animated fable Elemental, which transports moviegoers to an extraordinary place called Element City, where a host of elements live and work, and it’s safe to say that without any hint of elemental bias, Peter Sohn’s film looks fire.

The trailer introduces us to the elements who inhabit the world of Elemental – air, earth, water and fire—and lets us know what sets them apart according to Ember (Leah Lewis – The Half of It), a quick-witted and fiery woman who’s lived her life believing that the elements cannot mix, that is until she meets Wade (Mamoudou Athie – Jurassic World: Dominion) and finally ventures out of her comfort zone to explore this spectacular world.

Featuring additional voice work from Ronnie del Carmen as Ember’s soon-to-be retired dad, Bernie; Shila Ommi as Ember’s love-seeking mom, Cinder; Wendi McLendon-Covey as Wade’s stormy and Air-Ball-loving boss, Gale; Catherine O’Hara as Wade’s welcoming mom, Brook; Mason Wertheimer as Ember’s admiring earth neighbour, Clod; and Joe Pera as an overgrown city bureaucrat, Fern. Check out the character posters and stunning trailer below…

In a city where fire, water, land, and air residents live together, a fiery young woman and a go-with-the-flow guy are about to discover something elemental: how much they actually have in common.

Elemental arrives in cinemas on June 16th.
