Searchlight Pictures has released a new trailer and poster for Stephen Williams’ critically-acclaimed biographical drama Chevalier, which stars Waves and Cyrano‘s Kelvin Harrison Jr. in the true story of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-George, and follows the the composer and violinist as he rises through French society, conducts a complicated love life, and falls out with Marie Antoinette (Lucy Boynton).

Inspired by the incredible true story of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. The illegitimate son of an African slave and a French plantation owner, Bologne (Kelvin Harrison Jr. in a tour de force performance) rises to improbable heights in French society as a celebrated violinist-composer and fencer, complete with an ill-fated love affair and a falling out with Marie Antoinette (Lucy Boynton) and her court.
Chevalier is released in the US on April 21 and June 9th in the UK.
