Paddington 3 cast adds Antonio Banderas, Olivia Colman, and more

June 23, 2023 by EJ Moreno

As Paddington heads back to Peru for his third film, we see a gang of new actors hungry to join the beloved franchise.

In a new report, we’ve learned that Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas, Rachel Zegler, and Emily Mortimer have joined Paddington In Peru.

Variety broke the story concerning Banderas, Zegler, and Mortimer, while The Hollywood Reporter shared an exclusive concerning Colman’s inclusion. Little is known about the other characters, but THR notes that Colman’s character will run a retirement home for bears in Peru.

Variety also reports that Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton will be back as the voices of Paddington and Aunt Lucy, respectively. The third Paddington film will also star Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Madeleine Harris, and Samuel Joslin.

The official Paddington Twitter confirmed the news…

I think it's time for some new adventures with friends. Welcome #OliviaColman, @antoniobanderas, @rachelzegler and @EMortimer #PaddingtonInPeru

Little is known about the project, but reports claim Paddington In Peru will see “Paddington getting into sticky situations in deepest, darkest Peru, his country of birth.”

Paddington In Peru will begin production on July 24th, with filmmaker Dougal Wilson making his feature debut. Filming will be done on location in London and Peru.
