Mandy Moore investigates Edgar Ramirez in Dr. Death season 2 trailer

With a little over three weeks to go until Dr. Death returns for its second season, Peacock has released a poster and trailer for the crime thriller anthology.

This season tells the story of ‘Miracle Man’ surgeon Paolo Macchiarini (Edgar Ramírez) and Benita Alexander (Mandy Moore), an investigative journalist who becomes personally involved with the doctor while covering his story, as shocking discoveries are made regarding his work. This season of Dr. Death, based on the Wondery podcast, follows “Miracle Man” Paolo Macchiarini, a charming surgeon renowned for his innovative operations. When investigative journalist Benita Alexander approaches him for a story, the line between personal and professional begins to blur, changing her life forever. As she learns how far Paolo will go to protect his secrets, a group of doctors halfway across the world make shocking discoveries of their own that call everything about Paolo into question.

Season 2 of Dr. Death stars Edgar Ramírez, Mandy Moore, Luke Kirby, Ashley Madekwe, and Gustaf Hammarsten.

Dr. Death season 2 premieres on December 21st on Peacock.
