John Krasinski and Natalie Portman join Guy Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth

January 12, 2024 by Ricky Church

Even with his new film The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare coming out this spring, Guy Ritchie is already planning his next film. According to Deadline, John Krasinski (Jack Ryan) and Natalie Portman (May December) have joined Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth from Skydance and Apple.

Fountain of Youth will follow “two estranged siblings (Krasinski and Portman) who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives — and possibly lead to immortality.”

The script was written by James Vanderbilt (Scream VI) with both Ritchie and Krasinski eyeing the film since last year, but the dual strikes from WGA and SAG-AFTRA put a halt to productions.

Ritchie, Ivan Atkinson and Jake Myers are producing with Radio Silence as executive producers. Vanderbilt is also serving as a producer through Project X Entertainment alongside William Sherak, Paul Neinstein with Tripp Vinson producing through Vinson Films.

Production is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2024.
