While the world holds its breath on the Academy Award nominations, the Golden Raspberry Awards has taken its customary moment to shine the spotlight on the very worst of 2023 with the nominees for the 44th Razzie Awards.
“After strikes, lingerings of a worldwide plague and a general sense of universal agoraphobia, the decline of the cinematic experience goes without saying,” said the organizers. “Thankfully, a doll pic and a bomb movie jump-started the Industry, which still left behind a trail of Pooh for the Razzies to pick up!”
Leading the pack this year is Expend4bles, with the fourth instalment of the aging action franchise garnering a total of seven nominations including Worst Picture, which it will contest against The Exorcist: Believer, Meg 2: The Trench, Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey.
