James Gunn’s Superman wraps production as David Corenswet celebrates

Shooting on the highly-anticipated Superman film from director James Gunn has wrapped, and it’s a joyous celebration into the next phase.

Both the director behind the DC Studios’ re-debut and the Superman actor, David Corenswet, shared their own posts about principal photography ending on the film.

The filmmaker shared a photo from early in the production, labelling the entire experience “an honor.” You can find the celebratory post here…

As for the Man of Steel, he’s celebrating with some delicious sweets. Corenswet took to social media to break what was a seemingly intense diet and workout routine for the role of eating a chocolate brownie. Check out the hilarious video below…

Superman will be released on July 11th, 2025.
