The Green Ranger revealed for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind

August 28, 2024 by Andrew Newton

As today (28th August) is National Power Rangers Day, Digital Eclipse is celebrating by announcing that the Green Ranger will be an unlockable playable character in their upcoming Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind. This upcoming brawler is available to wishlist on both Steam and the Playstation Store.

The Green Ranger is a firm favourite of MMPR fans and his reveal to be an unlockable character in the game will be exciting news.  Digital Eclipse has incorporated Tommy’s story into the game’s story and once players have completed the campaign they will be able to select the Green Ranger to use on future playthroughs.

Inspired by the classics of the genre, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind will see the team take on Robo-Rita, the robot reincarnation of their nemesis Rita Repulsa. Robo-Rita manages to conjure up a time travel portal in an effort to form an alliance with her younger self and the pair of them manage to rewind, rewrite, and remix the past in an attempt to stop the existence of the Power Rangers. Will the Power Rangers be able to stop the two Ritas and their hordes of monsters before the MMPR timeline is destroyed?

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind features:

  • A classic 90’s aesthetic with hand drawn pixel art.
  • Fan-favourite enemies from many different seasons of the TV show.
  • Many of the events and episodes from the show have been remixed.
  • 2D brawler action with arcade-style shooting and driving sequences.
  • All the original Dinozords are available to pilot.
  • Online and offline support for up to 5 players.

Look out for more information on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind coming soon.
