Pamela Anderson cult classic Barb Wire coming to 4K Ultra HD

October 17, 2024 by Amie Cranswick

Altitude has announced that the Pamela Anderson-headlined 1996 sci-fi action cult classic Barb Wire will arrive on 4K Ultra HD on October 21st; check out the cover artwork, trailer and details below…

Years before audiences went wild for comic book adaptations, Pamela Anderson blazed a trail in the sexy, action-packed sci-fi thriller BARB WIRE, based on Chris Warner’s graphic novel. Also starring genre favourites Temuera Morrison (The Mandalorian), Steve Railsback (Turkey Shoot), Udo Kier (Flesh For Frankenstein) and Clint Howard (Evilspeak), and stylish directed by David Hogan (Most Wanted), BARB WIRE was described by Roger Ebert as having ‘a high energy level, and a sense of deranged fun’.

From its jaw-dropping opening sequence to the high powered, explosive finale, BARB WIRE is a relentlessly entertaining ride. The beautifully produced, collectable UHD Steelbook includes a brand new 4K HDR restoration, new interviews, sexy outtakes, and much more. Remember – don’t call her babe!

SYNOPSIS: Barb Wire is the sexiest, toughest woman in Steel Harbor, a city marked by chaos and crime, providing a home for a new kind of mercenary. If you’ve got a problem, Barb Wire is the solution. She’ll use any weapon – including her body – to take what she wants, crossing the line for no man, until the day Axel Hood hits town. He’s on a mission and Barb is the only one who can get him out alive. Will Barb help the man who once betrayed her? There’s only one thing you can be sure of… she can get anything you want, for a price. Are you ready to pay…?
