Mark Strong thinks Daniel Craig is done playing James Bond

February 24, 2016 by Robert Kojder

Mark Strong spoke with The Shortlist while promoting his upcoming spy-comedy The Brothers Grimsby (or just Grimsby here in the UK), and was asked about the future of his good pal Daniel Craig reprising his role of James Bond once more.

Strong firstly expressed disappointment over not getting the opportunity to play a bad guy opposite Bond, before noting that it looks like that will never happen now.

“Do you know what, I’d have loved to have played the villain in a Bond movie while Daniel was doing it because he’s a pal and that would have been great,” he said. “But I think he’s come to the end of his Bond time and so it’s probably never going to happen, but that would have always been great.”

The Brothers Grimsby is set for release on February 24th in the UK and on March 11th in the States, with a cast that also includes Sacha Baron Cohen, Rebel Wilson, Isla Fisher, Ian McShane, Gabourey Sidibe, Penelope Cruz and Scott Adkins.
