Neon Blood arrives to take players on a neo-noir cyberpunk adventure

November 27, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Meridiem and ChaoticBrain Studios have announced that neo-noir cyberpunk adventure Neon Blood is now available to purchase digitally on all platforms and also as a physical edition on Nintendo Switch and Playstation 5.  A new launch trailer can be seen below showcasing the games 2.5D aesthetic…

Neon Blood takes players to the year 2053, to a dystopian future macropolis containing all that is left of humanity after a third world war.  The cyberpunk macropolis of Viridis is formed by two cities, the luxurious Bright City and the dystopian Blind City.  Injustice and social inequalities exist between the two cities with the former being much better off.

Recognising the inequalities that exist in Viridis is idealistic detective Axel McCoin, who is driven to start a revolution to change the world for the better.  It is up to players to help him in his purpose and become a symbol of a revolution amongst the downtrodden people.

While guiding Axel through Viridis, players will be able to make powerful allies who will be able to assist them, discover and solve a variety of puzzles and take part in classic turn-based combat against those who stand in his path, including the formidable Ruby Emerald.

Neon Blood features:

  • A dystopian RPG with a cyberpunk theme combined with turn-based combat inspired by retro RPGs.
  • A 2.5D aesthetic made up of 2D pixel art characters on 3D modelled environments.
  • Immersive and dynamic night landscapes filled with lots of neon.
  • Viridis is a huge macropolis filled with secrets waiting to be solved.

Neon Blood is available to purchase now from all digital stores. The physical Limited Edition for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch includes a metallic textured sleeve, art book, city guide and downloadable soundtrack.
