Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader gets a new update

December 12, 2024 by Andrew Newton

Owlcat Games has today released Patch 1.3 for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, which brings plenty of changes and quality of life improvements based on the feedback they have received from gamers.  Watch the new trailer for this update below…

Owlcat Games have been doing a great job of listening to the community over the past year and have brought about changes to Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader that have made the game an even bigger success.

This new patch continues to bring about changes and improvements based on feedback and includes over 1000+ visible and internal changes.  These improvements include:

  • New cutscenes included and improvements to existing cutscenes.
  • New items and equipment.
  • Conviction point rebalanced so as to allow them to be easier to acquire, giving players more roleplaying freedom.
  • New voiceover, mostly for Kibellah, and on companion banter involving Kibellah.
  • A review and improvement of loot tables in Act I and II.
  • Multiple new Force swords scattered across the game.
  • Updates and improvements to colonisation events.
  • Rotation of Grand Strategist zones.
  • Character models for Heinrix and Abelard updated.
  • Increased performance on all consoles.
  • 4k resolution to the Playstation 5 Pro version.

The most anticipated change for many players is the co-op mode for consoles. This allows players to gather with 5 friends and get the full brothers-in-arms experience.  Players can now play the whole game as a team or invite friends at any point in the campaign.

Load up Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader now and start managing your voidship with friends.
