Shudder unleashes Clown in a Cornfield with trailer for new horror

March 24, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

RLJE Films and Shudder have shared a new trailer for director Eli Craig’s upcoming adaptation of Adam Cesare’s acclaimed novel Clown in a Cornfield.

The horror sees the quiet, fractured town of Kettle Spring terrorised by Frendo the Clown, the sinister mascot, and once beloved icon of the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup factory before it was destroyed in a fire.

The film stars Katie Douglas, Carson MacCormac, Aaron Abrams, Will Sasso, and Kevin Durand. Watch the new trailer below…

Quinn and her father have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs hoping for a fresh start. Instead, she discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times after the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down. As the locals bicker amongst themselves and tensions boil over, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs. The real fun starts when Frendo the clown comes out to play.

Clown in a Cornfield arrives in cinemas on May 9th.
