Post-apocalyptic open-world game DMZ: Nuclear Survival announced with trailer

April 15, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Developer Wild Dog Inc. has revealed their upcoming multiplayer open-world survival craft game DMZ: Nuclear Survival at this year’s Indie Live Expo.  Set in a post-apocalyptic world, players can work together in the fight for survival.  Watch the announcement trailer below to see more…

With DMZ: Nuclear Survival, jump into a world devastated by a nuclear war and explore a vast, procedurally generated map. Throughout this new supercontinent formed by the power of nuclear weaponry causing tectonic shifts, players will be able to work together to explore, excavate relics, build bases and fight to survive.

This new world features a variety of different biomes, from forests and grasslands to snowfields and deserts, and players have the ability to dig or raise the ground to construct defences and even build powerful fortresses with farms, factories and vehicle facilities. Mines can also be dug out to gather the hidden mineral veins and ancient ruins using a variety of tools.

Players will be able to find NPCs throughout the world, and these can be captured and returned to base to become fellow soldiers, such as scouts and medics, to providing other services including farmers and scientists.  There’s even a NPC breeding feature.  Players can also tame a range of animals, including bears, wolves and ostriches, and use these to help in training.  On the military front, players will also be able to extract genes from relics and bones to bring ancient warriors back to life.

The game will offer both PvE and competitive PvP multiplayer modes with dedicated servers for over 100 players. There will also be a offline single-player mode that provides solo gamers a complete experience.
