Doctor Who spinoff Dark Gallifrey: Missy – Part Two arrives via Big Finish

May 21, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Big Finish has announced the release of the full-cast Doctor Who audio drama Dark Gallifrey: Missy – Part Two. This latest trilogy of the Dark Gallifrey saga by Rochana Patel finds Missy (played by Michelle Gomez) causing her usual brand of mischief on a steampunk-themed world.

In part two of Missy’s Dark Gallifrey adventure, a familiar TARDIS arrives on the planet where Missy is causing chaos but when the Seventh Doctor (played by Sylvester McCoy) steps out she knows she must never meet this younger incarnation. However, despite the risk of causing a temporal paradox that could shatter the universe, she never could resist tormenting her arch-enemy.

Joining Michelle Gomez and Sylvester McCoy are Jonathan Case as Mortimer Fox, Bruce Alexander as Scratch, Paksie Vernon as Alisa, Jon Edgley Bond as Klank and Amerjit Deu as Voltaire.

From L to R: Jonathan Case, Paksie Vernon, Sylvester McCoy, Bruce Alexander.

Sylvester McCoy said: “I just love the script by Rochana Patel. Missy’s got such wonderful lines and it’s all so wonderfully witty. And I’m kind of the straight man to her, which is interesting.”

Dark Gallifrey: Missy – Part Two is available now from the Big Finish website for £8.99 for the download or £10.99 for the download and limited collector’s edition CD.  Fans can pre-order a multi-buy bundle of all of 2025’s Dark Gallifrey instalments (Missy Part One to Three, and a second trilogy of Eric Roberts’ incarnation of the Master) for £50 for the downloads and £60 for the download and collector’s edition CD.
