Digimon Story Time Stranger trailer reveals October release date

June 5, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced that Digimon Story Time Stranger will be arriving on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC on 3rd October. A new trailer can be seen below revealing the main plot of the story…

The Digital World is in danger and on the brink of collapse thanks to the Titans, but this could have a devastating impact on the Human World. To prevent such a catastrophic event from occurring, an agent has been sent back in time to put things right and save both worlds.  Taking the role of either Dan Yuki or Kanan Yuki, players will set out on this important mission.

As players set out to save both worlds, they will meet plenty of characters and Digimon, including the Olympos XII, Aegiomon and Inori Misono. Players will be able to team up and create a bond with their Digimon through a number of activities such as training, fighting or spending time in the DigiFarm. There will also be the opportunity to use objects to enhance their capabilities, which may be useful during strategic turn-based battles.

Pre-orders are now available for Digimon Story Time Stranger and there are several versions available:

  • A Standard Edition with the base game.
  • The Digital Deluxe Edition features the game, the Cyber Sleuth Set Costumes and the Season Pass.
  • The Digital Ultimate Edition includes the above, plus a Costume Pack with 3x Costumes per character along with three additional side missions, the early unlock of special Agumon and Gabumon, with their Digivolution conditions to specific Digimon already unlocked, Public Safety Suit Costumes & Special Supplies Set, and the Cyber Sleuth BGM Pack.
  • Bandai Namco Store exclusive Collector’s Edition features all content from the Ultimate Edition, with the addition of a 15cm figurine of Jupitermon: Wrath Mode, an artbook, a metal case and premium trading cards.

Those who pre-order any edition will receive the Uniform of Certain School costumes, the Adventure Item Set, and Agumon (Black) and Gabumon (Black) who both have an evolution route to a specific Digimon.

The Season Pass will cover three DLC packs, with each containing five additional Digimon and an additional episode.

Digimon Story Time Stranger will launch on Xbox Series X|S, Playstation 5 and PC on 3rd October.
