Tower of God: New World update introduces two new characters

June 19, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Netmarble has released a new update for their collectible RPG Tower of God: New World. This new update brings an assortment of content updates and two new teammates – Beta and Cherry La. You can meet these new characters and see their skills in the trailers below…

The first of the new characters to join Tower of God: New World is SSR+ [Escaped] Beta (Red Element, Assassin, Wave Controller). Created in the workshop as an experiment in living ignition weapons, Beta excels with his immortal and AoE skills. Our second new teammate is [Dream Decision] Cherry La (Red Element, Mage, Wave Controller). Cherry La, whose real name is Phonsekal Irure, is a powerful Wave Controller who can restrict her opponents using her special moves.

This update also revamps Ignition Weapons that demonstrate the core techniques of the Workshop. Players can now use  the Soul Dice and Ignition Dice to reroll the stat for an Ignition Weapon, plus there’s a higher chance for players to gain an Ignition Weapon on the Secret Floor.

The [Escaped] Beta Release Celebration Festival is now underway and will run until 2nd July. This event will feature chances to earn rewards through Special Summons, Check-in Events, Boost Missions, TapTap Plus and more. These rewards can also include the valuable Suspendiums. Other events running until 2nd July include the Bingo Event and Melting Event.

This latest update also means players can now participate in new seasons of the Alliance Fleet Battle, Alliance Expedition and Memorial Pocket.

Tower of God: New World is available on Android and iOS devices. The PC version is available to download from Google Play Games Beta.
