The follow-up The Devil Wears Prada 2 has rounded out its cast to star alongside the returning Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci and recent addition Kenneth Branagh.
Joining the original stars are Simone Ashley (Bridgerton), Lucy Liu (Charlie’s Angels), Justin Theroux (Bettlejuice Beetlejuice), B.J. Novak (The Office) and Pauline Chalamet (The Sex Lives of College Girls). Also starring will be Broadway star Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora (How to Die Alone) and comedian Caleb Hearon alongside Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman reprising their roles from the first film.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 will focus on Miranda Priestly (Streep) as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She faces off against Emily (Blunt), her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group, with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.
There are no details on any of the roles for the new additions to the film except for Branagh, who will play Priestly’s current husband in the sequel.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 will be directed by the original’s David Frenkel from a script by original screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna. It is set for release on May 1st, 2026.
