Following on from yesterday’s faux teaser for the new Johnny Cage movie Uncaged Fury, Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have now officially unveiled the trailer for Mortal Kombat II, the sequel to the 2021 video game adaptation.
Directed once again by Simon McQuoid, the film sees Karl Urban joining the cast as action movie star Johnny Cage, who joins the defenders of the Earthrealm in the fight against the villainous Shao Khan. Mortal Kombat II sees the return of Lewis Tan as Cole Young, Jessica McNamee as Sonya Blade, Josh Lawson as Kano, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Mehcad Brooks as Jax, Ludi Lin as Liu Kang, Chin Han as Shang Tsung, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi / Scorpion, and Max Huang as Kung Lao. alongside franchise newcomers Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Adeline Rudolph as Kitana, Tati Gabrielle as Jade, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn, Desmond Chiam as King Jerrod, Ana Thu Nguyen as Sindel, CJ Bloomfield as Baraka, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.
Mortal Kombat II is set for release on October 24th.
