Doctor Who’s Smith and Sullivan are Reunited for new audio adventures

July 24, 2025 by Andrew Newton

Big Finish Productions has released Smith and Sullivan: Reunited, a brand-new full-cast audio drama for two former Doctor Who companions. This new box set brings new adventures for investigative journalist Sarah Jane Smith and freelance UNIT operative Harry Sullivan.

Sarah Jane Smith and Harry Sullivan once travelled through time and space with the Doctor; now the pair are back on Earth, they are embarking on new adventures. Joined by K9, Sarah and Harry are reunited and set about solving mysteries across 1980s Britain.

Smith and Sullivan: Reunited features three new adventures:

‘The Caller’ by Tim Foley – As Britain prepares to privatise the telecommunications network, Sarah investigates a spate of unexplained deaths in phone boxes, while Harry investigates the bidding companies on behalf of UNIT. When the pair discovers they are ultimately investigating the same thing, they become embroiled in a government cover up and a sinister alien plot.

‘Union of the Snake’ by Roland Moore finds Sarah Jane Smith going undercover to find out how a man with no education or training went from working in a sawmill to designing a revolutionary computer chip that has made billions. How has he done it? Sarah Jane is determined to find out.

Finally, in ‘Blood Type’ by Simon Guerrier, Sarah Jane is busy with cases and leaving little time to write up her cases for publications. She can’t risk making a mistake by taking shortcuts, but when an old adversary reappears, the pressure reaches boiling point. Can Sarah rely on her friends for help?

From L to R: Rosie Baker, John Leeson, Graham Seed, Sadie Miller, Christopher Naylor, Annette Badland, Jonathan S Powell, Peter Angehlides

Sarah Jane Smith is voiced by Sadie Miller (daughter of original TV actress Elisabeth Sladen) with Christopher Naylor taking the role of Harry Sullivan.
