Psychological horror Hidden in the Dark unveils trailer and posters

August 12, 2025 by Amie Cranswick

Black Mandala has released a trailer for director Kristian Gatto’s psychological horror Hidden in the Dark.

The film centres on Maya, a young woman with abilities that allow her to see events through space and time, who is undergoing experimental treatment in a remote hospital after her failure to help to the police locate a missing eight-year-old child, sending her spiraling into a chilling descent.

The cast includes Donka Avramova, Marco Benedetti, Velizar Binev, Charita Cecamore, Borislav Chouchkov, Dimitar Kasabov, and Mak Marinov. Check out the trailer below…

Maya is a patient in a hospital in the mountains of Slovakia. She possesses abilities that allow her to sense emotions and events in space and time. This gift makes her interesting to the local police, who use her to find missing people. The latest case involves an eight-year-old girl who has been abducted. Unfortunately, Maya fails to find her in time, and the child is found dead in the forest. This devastates Maya both psychologically and physically.

Hidden in the Dark is coming soon from Black Mandala Films.
