Joss Whedon teaming with John Cassaday for Captain America 75th anniversary story

March 6, 2016 by Gary Collinson

He may be finished with the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the time being, but Joss Whedon is returning to Marvel’s comic book universe, with the Avengers helmer set to team with artist John Cassaday as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations for Captain America.

Whedon and Cassaday are set to contribute an all-new story celebrating the legend and the legacy of the Sentinel of Liberty in the bumper-sized Captain America: Sam Wilson #7, which also features work from creators Greg Rucka, Mike Perkins and Tim Sale.

The 56-page issue will go on sale on March 30th, priced $5.99.
