Jordana Brewster joins Lethal Weapon TV series

March 6, 2016 by Gary Collinson

The Fast and the Furious star Jordana Brewster has signed on to appear in Fox’s upcoming Lethal Weapon pilot, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that the actress is set to play Dr. Maureen ‘Mo’ Cahill, an LAPD hostage negotiator and therapist.

The Lethal Weapon pilot is being directed by McG and will star Damon Wayans in the Danny Glover role of Roger Murtaugh. As yet, the Mel Gibson role of Martin Riggs remains uncast.

The TV adaptation of the buddy cop franchise sees Texas cop and former Navy SEAL Riggs moving to Los Angeles to start anew after the death of his wife and child, where he’s partnered with Murtaugh, who having recently suffered a “minor” heart attack, must avoid stress in his life.
